I know it may sound lame, please here me out. There are a lot of fast food chains in your area...well everywhere. This could be to your advantage...here's why...you are going into business and management. Try applying at these chains where they are hiring asst. managers. The job may not be great at the time, but here are the goodies...you will learn on the job which career path will suite you best when you graduate, you will be eligible for benefits and........the best part, a lot of these companies will reimburse your college expenses when you graduate. You do not have to make a career out of fast food chains, but it is a start and will get you marketed so that when you graduate you can say you have "blank " many of years in business management already. These companies are also looking for "college " schooled managers. Good luck.

Welcome to the club - hey I cant find a job either - I have been out of school for 6 months now - you need to look harder and better online, walk the streets, check the newspapers and tell your friends and family and local acquaintances - especially those that still have jobs if you have the guts - try canvassing manhattan and leave your resume at companies where you would like to work. I like the above idea - of assistant manager with fast foods businesses - its good experience for the resume my nephew is an assistant manager with Burger King - he has been there for 3 years and he loves it.

Have you talked to anyone in your college's Career Services? For free, they should be able to show you a bunch of resources, counsel you, etc. Check it out. They should be especially helpful since they have worked with other students in your school and in your major and maybe even help you communicate with grads who have been in your shoes. Good luck!
