Any tips on how an accounting graduate can find a job?

Question: Any tips on how an accounting graduate can find a job?

(Posted by: Jerzey2278 on 2010-03-10 06:03:27)

Does anyone have any ideas on how a college graduate in accounting can find a job in the NY/ NJ area? I had my Resume checked and posted on "all " the job sites. I've gone to individual company websites and applied and still no luck...I've gone to career fairs and showed in person to other companies... It would be one thing if I was getting interviews and being turned down but I can't even land any interviews?? ANY SUGGESTIONS

Colleges.mywebcommunity.org - I found such internship info here. It has lots of internships, job openings and scolarships for college students.

I remember a company called AccountTemps. Look in your yellow pages under Employment, and see if you find temporary agencies that specialize in accounting. I am a fan of spending a couple of years working temp. You gain a lot of experience at different companies and it makes you that much more valuable. /
