I am having a hard time finding a job...help. ?

Question: I am having a hard time finding a job...help. ?

(Posted by: on 2012-01-20 22:00:44)

From my iphone- I've applied and applied...i landed a few interviews, but no cigar. I'm a college graduate, have 8 yrs experience has a supervisor/ grant manager in community clinic...nada. It's been nearly a year and can't find another job. Yes, I am on unemployment, but I want to work doing what I know and what I went to college for. I'm on LinkedIn, facebook, networking everywhere, nada. I guess I'm just one of the millions who are unemployed, but I don't care, I want a great job/ career. Someone, anyone, what should I do? I'm looking for work in the San Francisco Bay area. Help.

After you apply online, actually go to the business and speak with a manager in person. These places get hundreds of online applications. Show you have some initiative.

Have you thought about moving to an area that needs your talent? Start casting a wider net in terms of location.

I have found in these hard economic times that applying online is the first step, but after that make efforts to contact the employer by phone, follow up, or if its a setting were you can make inquiries in person. Sure this will turn some employers off, but honestly more employers may like this. Your face is in their mind, the fact you have followed up may entice them to take a second look at your profile. You may have to go out of your comfort zone, and you may get rejected harshly at some places, but when you are competing against 100 other people for the same job you have to do something to stand out, and I assure you most people who are interviewed and hired did not apply online and stop at that.

Offer to suck your next interviewer's dick/ clit and that'll get you something.

I know i am in the same situation as you. I am a recent graduate and i am having a hard time finding employment. What I would say is look for job fair, and continue to apply online. Beside applying online, go looking in the newspaper, craigslist...etc. Check this guide out in the meantime: avan989.hubpages.com/ hub/ Unemployment-among-College-Graduate
