Finding a job in leipzig?

Question: Finding a job in leipzig?

(Posted by: Khashayar Z on 2012-01-23 14:47:32)

I'm about to move to Germany next fall with my girlfriend to study. But as I don't have a really good financial support from my family, I have to find a way to do it myself there. Do you think I'll be able to work there? I know that I can work 90 full/ 180 part time working day per year in Germany by law, but as every where in the world, you could still work more than what's allowed. I'm not asking you to suggest me anything illegal, but the truth about there. Do you think it's likely that I earn 500- 600euros/ month (after taxes) in Leipzig? I know several languages like Russian, English, Armenian, Farsi plus intermediate German by that time. I am a photographer and I have professional work experience in Graphic design and architectural design as well. I'm frustrated about my future there...Please share whatever you think may help me! Thanks in advance.

IF you find a job it shouldn't be a problem to earn that amount. But Leipzig being in an area with high unemployment it is a risk. If you want to take it or not is up to you. I am working with people from that area, and they all commute Monday to work somewhere else, coming back on Friday. Being an photographer/ designer it think it looks rather bleak there. Once I worked or better said I looked for work for a year abroad, and returned afterwards. It was still an experience I wouldn't miss :-) toytowngermany.com/ forum/ index.php?showforum= 224 Viel GlĂĽck
