I was fired from my job, and i applied for unemployment,?
i did recieve unemployment due to my previous employer not responding to the odjfs, ohio job and family services issue of eligibilty letter, they never answered and the determination was moved to my favor, after a year, they are now appealing the original determination, are they allowed to do that?and i did put on the application that i was fired for absentismthey had a 21 calendar day period to respond to the unemployment office

Should I quit before i get fired?
There's the possibility of me getting fired because supposedly i said something that disrespected a supervisor. I didn't. I already have one warning because i didn't clock out properly a while back ago, again it wasn't my fault. But should i quit? I work at a very popular night club. I have the best shifts and most shifts. I am very social and do a great job. I'm afraid the owner will cave in because her daughter and manager wants me fired. She steals money and blames it on me we have watched the videos and caught this . I'm the youngest and I had know idea why some of the older women were giving me a hard time and lieing about me in till the club owner among others said they were jealous. I'm not snobby or conceited. I have been nothing but nice and always cover shifts for them and pick up their slack. I can't afford to lose this job. My mom was sick and lost her job and I am taking care of her and my younger sister and going to school. They gang up on me and have lied about everything from me stealing, sex in the back, not completing end of night work, to me doing drugs. I cannot make this much money anywhere else. What can I do?

Getting hired after being fired?
I have a friend she is the nicest most trusting person you could meet. She is highly qualified but her boss had no qualifications. From all accounts she did a great job but her manager is a psycho. He fired her for no reason. No one within the company including human resources could give her a reason why. It was out of left field. The atmosphere within that company is poisoned and everyone dreads being there because of this manager.She got past the fourth interview in getting a new job. She explained her old boss didn't like her and didn't lie about it. She provided ten quality references including a couple from that same workplace. The company that was going to hire her only called the psycho not any of the others. She called them all to see. So this guy got her fired and destroyed everything again by sabotaging this new job. She immigrated from Europe and has no savings or husband family to provide for her. Zero money, none.How does she get another job when her best experience is from the place she got fired from? This old boss is a major loser, it could be he doesn't like women or immigrants? She has been going through all of the Networking IT jobs in her city and there have been almost none over the period of several months.The lawyer said you can fire someone without any cause. I assume they only want to help unions with deep pockets.

What should I do? I might get fired.?
The place in which I work is having mandatory inventory tonight. I was given less than 24 hours notice for this. My problem is I don't drive, my employers know that and I'm having trouble finding transportation home from work. The inventory ends at a late hour as we're starting after the store closes for the day. I have a secured a ride there but haven't had any luck finding a ride home. I don't want to be stuck by myself, with no way home at nearly midnight so if I can't secure a ride back in the next few hours I'm not going to go. But I'm not sure what I should do. Should I call and let my manager know that I may not be there tonight or what?I can't afford 30$ for a taxi ride and none of my co workers and I have the kind of friendship where I'd be okay asking for a ride.

How do you explain in an interview why you were let go from your previous job, they didn't say I was fired?
I was a manager for a store for over 3 years, excellent reviews, I even just got a raise, I did however file a harassment suit against a board member 5 months ago then they came into my work on friday and handed me a letter saying I was no longer the manager and hand over my keys, period. no explanation, nothing. How do I explain that in a job interview when asked why I left my last job. OH, and can they do that?

How do I handle a boss trying to get me fired?
I took a job last year with a fortune 500 company as a sales rep. I have been in my industry almost 20 years. I have worked for other fortune 500 companies in my field, I have turned around territories and have been highly successful. I have never had a complaint about any of my work and my skill is unmatched. I work hard and smart and I am a very capable employee that loves my work and industry. I have a situation where my boss whom is female like myself seems to feel threatened by me.She is a lot younger and this is her first time managing people. She is on a path of trying to get me fired. First attempt was trying to prove to other senior managers that I could not write emails properly. Every email I sent no matter how correct it may have been she wanted to try to correct grammar and anything else she could come up with. This did not work. She went as far as recommending a writing class to me with HR.Then she insults my product knowledge, she tells the upper management I don't know my product or how it is used procedurally, in fact I do know it very well. The management believes her, even though she has about 15 years less experiences in sales and management. I am sent to work with a senior rep under the disguise of more training. The gentlemen I am sent to work with proceeds to tell me the reason I am sent to meet with him is because he is to be a mediator between my boss and I.I was flown half way across the country to be blind sided by this random sales rep that my job now is on the line. After several days of product interrogation with him, he gives me a plan on how to get along with the person that he agrees is a bully. He also used the term 360 review he called other workers to see what they thought about my performance and even called workers that had little or no working relationship with me to get their opinion about my performance. He comes to the conclusion that yes, I am competent, I know my product and my sales knowledge and experience is unmatched. I am giving a plan on how to deal with her and I go home.She could not get me fired by discrediting me, or ruining my reputation as a competent and qualified sales representative, now her new goal is to give me ridiculous goals that only a team of sales reps could get done in 10 days. Now I am getting upset.With this said, there are a few facts I need to point out.1.She has no experience in managing.2.The higher ups just take her word for everything, she is really convincing.3.The manager above her will not return one email or phone call, he only talks with her.4.She has spoken about me in negative ways to the coworkers I am suppose to be working with. This has made it tough for them to work with me because she has convinced them in so many words that I am incompetent.5.She has withheld sales information, and she does not share any group emails with me. I found out from other reps what she has sent after the fact.6.She has claimed to know many people in the industry and she does not.7.She takes credit for all the sales reps work under her.8.I am hired to assist the other reps in the territory with certain products to focus within an area for our products to be utilized. I am to create a sales plan and move forward with my plan to help gain access into the area and have the sales reps assist. My boss keeps derailing my plan.9.The new plan she has created is set up to fail, if I fail at her plan, I Get fired. Help 10.She is talking very badly about me to her sales reps that I am suppose to work with. She is telling others in the company I lied on my resume, and that I could have never accomplished the work I have stated in my resume. I in all of my years as a professional sales representative have ever been subject to such ridicule and persecution in my life. I am the sole supporter for my family and I need my job so we can make it. How do I stop this never ending harassment from this individual? I can't afford to loose my job over this person.Also HR is buying into her story, I spoke to an HR representative, and they seem very vague and on her side. The boss has since given me a new work schedule, this new schedule is for me to work in four states within the next two weeks and for my line of work, getting in front of the customers that I have never met is impossible in such a short notice. She knows it, but this tactic is to make me fail so she will finally have a reason to let me go. She is sending me on a wild goose chase and her boss is instructing her to do it. Remember this is the guy that said he has an open door policy but won't take calls or return emails. I hate to say this but my boss is young blond and very attractive. I have never worked for a company that would let this kind of action take place. I feel like the only choice I have is to look for another job. I could loose my home, my creditability in my industry. My family has no back up.

Can I be fired because of missing time due to a medically documented disability?
Can my employer fire me for missing time from work due to a medically documented disability?I occasionally miss a day here and there due to a disability I've had since before I began working for my current company. I am former military and injured in combat Iraq . I have since had two cervical fusions, have a slipped thoracic disc and also have degenerative disc disease. Especially during times of nasty, wet weather I am forced to take time off due to incapacitating pain. I am under the care of a Dr 2 and ea. missed day is excused in the way of a note from my Dr s . I was told today that should I miss any more time due to my health condition I will no longer be needed. Do I have any recourse? Am I in any way protected? I live in the state of California Or is this just the way it is? I work in finance and sit at a desk in front of a computer the majority of the day. Is it legal in Canada to be fired without pay?
I was working in a small art shop for 3 days. 2 days were unpaid training, and the boss fired me on the spot the 3rd day for not phoning her when a package came I had no idea I was supposed to call her, but she was furious over this Anyways she said she was not going to pay me for this and fired me on the spot, Is that legal? Did you collect workman's comp & then get fired after returning to work?
Any information you feel comfortable telling me will be helpful. A friend is asking me if he should sue his employer. He's currently out on workmans comp, but works for an employer whose word cannot be trusted. I'm looking for experienced people, just so I can get an idea of what kind of treatment to expect when he returns to work after being out for a year.

legal?Since December of 09 my boss has been telling me that I'm going to be laid off in the beginning of March because of lack of work, now around mid March I'm being fired because of lack of production. There wasn't any work to do, so not much work got done, is this legal?Aside from this situation something else happened with this employer. He did not filing the W2 I turned in for 09 when I started working for him in September of 09 because he " didn't want to deal with any tax issue" so he ended up filing me as an independent contractor. I didn't know any better so I went a long with it, but was told later that that was a bad idea because I don't have an independent contractors licence so I could get in trouble for that.I just needed the job so I took it, now I'm a little upset and kind of worried. Anybody got any suggestions?

How Is It Possible To Get A Job After Getting Fired?
I find it hard, because my last major employer I got fired from and was reduced to part time and was then let go. It's been a while since I have gotten fired. How long does it take to even get a job after you have been fired? This is so depressing. How many references should you have on a Resume?
